Wilmington, NY - Athletes competing in super G and giant slalom at Whiteface Mountain Ski Center in Wilmington will now race on a much improved trail thanks, in part, to a grant from the Kelly Brush Foundation.

New England Ski Museum Awards Grants to Three Groups

Franconia, NH - The New England Ski Museum in Franconia on Friday announced that Cal Conniff grant awards totaling $2,500 were made to three organizations at the Hannes Schneider Meister Cup Race, held March 5th Cranmore Mountain Resort in North Conway, N.H. This marks the 10th year that the Ski Museum, with a mission of preserving the history of skiing, has designated a portion of the Hannes Schneider Race proceeds to the grant program.

Bridger Bowl to Increase Capacity of New Chairlift

Bozeman, MT - After earlier this month announcing a new triple chairlift to replace both its Deer Park and Bridger lifts, albeit with a lower uphill capacity than the two lifts it's replacing, officials at Montana's Bridger Bowl ski area have now approved additional expenditures to allow for greater uphill capacity and the ability to move 20 percent more riders up the mountain (1,800 people per hour) compared to the 1,500 people per hour originally announced.

Telluride Ski Resort Builds Stairway to Heaven

Telluride, CO - Looking more at home in the Alps than Colorado, Telluride Ski Resort on Wednesday airlifted a new bridge and staircase to the left shoulder of Palmyra Peak. Heliqwest, a helicopter company based out of Canada, airlifted two steel staircases and bridge over the ski resort to its final resting place – the span between Gold Hill Chutes 8 and 9.

New Grand Lodge Opens at Brian Head
