Lloyd Takes Second in Race to the Cup

Copper, CO - The Race to the Cup finished Friday in Copper with Jasey Jay Anderson of Canada and Fraenzi Maegert-Kohli of Switzerland topping the podiums.
Maegert-Kohli was followed in the women's race by Lindsay Lloyd (Centerville, UT) who was second and Alexa Loo of Canada rounding out the podium in third.
Lloyd struggled through a day of adversity, including two torn ligaments in her thumb, to finish the day with a strong result.

U.S. Has Strong Showing in Copper

COPPER, CO - U.S. Snowboarding's Michelle Gorgone (Boston) kicked off the 2010 Race to the Cup series with a win at Copper Mountain Thursday. Gorgone was joined on the podium by Simon Schooch of Switzerland who won the men's race.

SALT LAKE CITY - U.S. Snowboarding is a step ahead of the curve this Olympic season as a project in conjunction with its partnership with Westminster College in Utah has enabled officials to forecast how many athletes will be Vancouver Bound this year.
