The ski season is winding down in Montana, but there is a little more time get out and enjoy a last minute ski trip in the Peace Garden State. Three ski areas—Bridger Bowl, Red Lodge Mountain, and Teton Pass--remain open through next week. Big Sky will stay open until almost the end of the month.

With the longer, warmer days it's a perfect time for Heartland skiers to get in some final days on the Western slopes, especially if you live west of the Great Lakes. It's the perfect time for a western road trip. Three of the areas, Red Lodge, Bridger and Big Sky are grouped together along the southern border. Teton Pass is located in the northern section. If you have the time and don't mind driving you could easily hit more than one ski area for a spring ski trip.

It's been a good winter in Montana with plenty of snow to last through the end of the season.

Bridger Bowl is promoting Denim Day this weekend when they offer discounted lift tickets to those dressed in denim.

Red Lodge on Saturdays for the rest of the season is offering any of their demo skis or snowboards for 40-percent off. Rent some equipment in the morning and swap it out as often as you want throughout the day. Kids 12 and under ski for free in April.

Big Sky is offering spring lift tickets for as low as $65, and take advantage of Big Sky's secret season and save up to 25-percent off on lodging this spring and stay for as low as $149/night. They don't plan on closing until the end of the month, Every weekend in April has events planned, and the skiing and riding is great.

Teton Pass offers over 400 skiable acres with three lifts serving 1,000 vertical feet, and there is another 1300 vertical feet above the lifts that's popular hike to backcountry skiing. It's prime spring skiing.
