Montana Ski Resorts Season Ending Lift And Lodging Offers
The ski season is winding down across Montana, but the major ski areas are staying open into April. There’s plenty of time for Heartlanders to plan one more western trip to close out the season, and snow conditions are in excellent shape. After a slow start to winter the Treasure State has received copious amounts of snow. Ski areas in the southern portion of the state have received several feet of snow just this month alone.
Big Sky Resort is extending the season almost through most of next month to April 28, affording more time to enjoy great spring conditions. Get your last laps and take advantage of spring and experience some of the best conditions all season. They will be celebrating apre's ski every Friday through the month at Everett's 8800 and Friday-Sunday in the Mountain Village Plaza. When you book your lodging through Big Sky Resort you will save 10-percent on your lift tickets. They have received over three feet of snow so far this March.
Whitefish Mountain Resort conditions are prime spring skiing. They have received over 17 feet of snow so far this season with more expected before season end. Plans call for closing after skiing and riding Sunday, April 6. Lift tickets are currently $87 online through end of the season, and save 30- percent on lodging and lift ticket packages when you book through the resort. Come out and witness one of the best end of season pond skims in ski country on April 6. Ski or snowboard over a custom-built pond (costume mandatory) for a chance at a $1,500 cash purse. You must be 16 years old to participate. Online pre-registration is required and the cost is $50.
Red Lodge Mountain is staying open through April14, and it’s some of the best late season skiing and riding in recent years. The nearby Yodler Motel offers rooms in the mid-$80s per night for two adults.. Lift tickets in April for the last week of the season are running $77 per person. They added a new triple high-speed lift for this season, which has dramatically cut the time to access ski trails in the higher terrain.
Bridger Bowl with four large bowls within ski boundaries and lodging in nearby in Bozeman starts from $140 per night, double occupancy. Bridger is fully open and plans on closing April 7. Lift tickets are $77 and you can purchase a three day pass for $210.
Discovery, Showdown and Montana Snowbowl have tentatively scheduled April 7 as their closing date.
