Perfect North Acquires Southern Michigan Ski Area
Perfect North Slopes, located in southern Indiana, has added another ski area to it's arsenal with the acquisition of Swiss Valley in southern Michigan. A few years ago they added Timberline Resort, which is located in West Virginia. They made the announcement on social media.

Swiss Valley, which opened 58 years ago in 1968, has been a longtime ski area enjoyed by skiers from southern Michigan and northern Indiana. It was one of the first ski areas in the Wolverine State to embrace freestyle skiing and later snowboarding when it opened a terrain park in 1997. that have become a portion of most most Heartland ski areas. The ski area was founded by Jim and Sandy Wiseman and operated by the family every since. Jim passed away in 2022 at the age of 84.
Today it features four rope tows, two quad and one triple chairlift, 12 runs and two terrain parks. The chalet features a full service restaurant and cafe for quick grab-and-go meals.
Swiss Valley joins Timberline Mountain in West Virginia, which was purchased by Perfect North in 2019. At the time it had cut short its ski season and had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Under the new ownership it reopened in 2020 with many new upgrades including the the state's only six-person, high-speed lift. You can probably look at several upgrades in coming years for Swiss Valley as well.
Swiss Valley, in a separate announcement said that it will retain its staff through the transition.
Perfect North added in it's press release about the acquisition that more information will be forthcoming on season pass programs for next season and planned projects over next few months. For now, Perfect North pass holders will receive 50-percent off lift tickets visiting Swiss Valley.
