SoCal Resorts Spark Up February With All Manner Of Events
The month of February accelerates the number and variety of events at Southern California ski and snowboard resorts, including night skiing, regional races, demos, jams, pipes, boardercross ... and more.
Within easy driving distance from greater Los Angeles, the resorts of Big Bear, Snow Valley, Snow Summit, Mountain High and Baldy Mountain try to keep things interesting when skiers and riders want to take a break from the slopes.
At Big Bear Mountain Resorts, here's the lineup for the month:

Night sessions skiing and riding at Snow Valley and Summit, Fridays and Saturdays, 3 to 8 p.m., tickets online.

Bear Bowl, Feb. 7, 10-4 at Bear Mountain. Free, four-man teams compete in on-snow relay race, agility and football kicking accuracy. Limit on number of teams. Prizes: BBMR season pass, $400 gift card.

Corenation Rail Jam and Fundraiser, Feb. 14, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

USASA Boardercross at Bear Mountain, Feb. 16, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
