Wintergreen Resort Kicks Off Homecoming Weekend With Lift Tickets Under $20
Who says you can't go home?
Wintergreen Resort in Virginia will host its Homecoming Weekend January 9 -11, 2026, and lift tickets are cheap.
The weekend kicks off with Flashback Friday, in which you can ski or ride for just $19.75. To pay tribute to retro pricing, break sure to break out your neon clothing and watch one of the several live bands playing classic covers all night.
The Homecoming bash will go down at the Blue Ridge Terrace all weekend long. Fireworks are expected at nighttime. All is right.
All of that wraps up with a women's ski clinic on Sunday from 9-11:30 a.m. The clinic will focus on skills and techniques needed to help elevate your skiing and instill confidence on steeper terrain.
"Let’s go meet with our besties and learn to savor the steeper," the event listing says.
The clinic will be the first of the season. It costs between $240 and $270 per person, and the first day will focus on controlling speed when turning sharply.
After all, black diamonds are a girl's best friend. That's their joke, not mine.
Wintergreen kicked off its season on December 5, thanks to an influx of snow and cold temperatures that usually don't hit the southeast until much later in the year.
The resort has gotten 11" of snowfall on the season so far. Not a bad start for Virginia.
As of New Year's Eve, Wintergreen had five of its six lifts spinning, and 19 of 27 runs open. The progression terrain park is open for lapping, as well as its tubing operations.
