Black Mountain

Black Mountain, is a choice driven by its rich history, quality terrain, and family-friendly atmosphere. The ski area has been a staple in the Mount Washington Valley since 1935, offering a variety of slopes for all skill levels. The Shovel Handle, the first overhead cable lift in the country, and the snowmaking system on the Whitney slope in 1957 are just a couple of the highlights that make Black Mountain a unique destination. The area is also known for its manicured glades, summit steeps, and non-existent lift lines, providing a more authentic skiing experience. The Lostbo Pub and the Alpine Cabin offer a cozy spot to relax after a day on the slopes, with live entertainment and a wide variety of food and drinks. The vertical drop of 1,100 feet and the amazing views of Mount Washington and the valley below are additional reasons to visit Black Mountain. The upcoming transition to a community co-op format is also a significant factor, as it aims to keep the mountain open for its community and ensure its continued success.

SnoCountry provides the updated snow reports, weather conditions, and mountain information you need for a great day on the snow at Black Mountain.
