White Grass Touring Center offers over 50 km of trails wind through the pristine Canaan Valley, with access to Dolly Sods Wilderness and the Canaan Valley National Wildlife Refuge. Elevation ranges from 3,220 to 4,463 feet, offering nearly 1,200 feet of vertical rise, rare for a cross-country area. Snow farming techniques and natural snowfall keep trails fresh and powdery. Originally a downhill ski area, White Grass offers steep climbs and thrilling descents for cross-country skiers. Trails for all skill levels with groomed and untouched powder options. The White Grass Cafe serves wholesome natural foods and has even published cookbooks.
